Who We Are
KorfScore provides tools for korfball teams to set up matches, record scores, share live match updates, review post-game match reports, manage club and squad membership, and organise club activity through Clubs. References to "KorfScore", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy mean the KorfScore app, Clubs, KorfScore Live, match reports and korfscore.com. KorfScore is responsible for how this information is handled. You can contact us at [email protected].
Information You Provide
KorfScore may process the match information you enter into the app. This can include team names, player names, shirt numbers, match events, scores, timings, substitutions, penalties, comments and other details needed to run a match, publish a live feed or create a match report.
When you create a KorfScore account, we collect the email address associated with your sign-in method (Apple, Google or email and password). If you create or join a club, we also process the profile information you provide, which may include your name and any other details you choose to add.
If you use Clubs, you may provide or generate club activity data such as event details, training sessions, social events, squad selections, RSVP responses, absence notes, join requests, invite records, roles, team assignments and related timestamps.
If you contact us through the support page, we may receive the contact details and message content you choose to provide so we can respond to your question or request.
Accounts And Authentication
KorfScore uses Firebase Authentication to manage user accounts. You can sign in using Apple Sign-In, Google Sign-In or an email address and password. Firebase Authentication processes and stores the email address linked to your account as part of providing the sign-in service. Google may also process technical information such as device and log data as part of providing Firebase Authentication.
Your email address is used to identify your account, send essential account-related communications and link your account to clubs and features within the app. We do not use your email address for marketing without your consent.
Clubs
Clubs is an invite-only feature that lets clubs and coaches manage squads, membership, events, training sessions and social events within KorfScore. To join a club you must be invited by an existing club member or admin via an invite link or code. We process the club name, team names, player names, roles, team assignments, join requests, invite records and profile information you provide in connection with a club.
Member names and profile information within a club are visible to other members of the same club. This is necessary for the collaborative features Clubs provides, such as viewing squad lists, team membership, event attendance and squad selections. Club data is not made publicly visible outside the club.
Clubs may include free-text absence notes. Absence notes are visible to club owners, managers and coaches so they can manage attendance and availability. Please do not include health, medical or other sensitive details in absence notes unless they are needed for the club activity.
Please take care when entering names and profile details for junior or youth players. Where children are involved, clubs, coaches and guardians should ensure appropriate permission is in place before adding names or other details to a club.
Club Plus And Billing Status
Clubs can use the Free tier or subscribe to Club Plus through the app store payment flow. Free tier limits are currently 1 club, 1 team and 2 upcoming events. Club Plus is available in plans covering 1, 2 or 3 clubs, with up to 5 teams per club and up to 10 upcoming events per team. We use StoreKit and app store services for subscription purchases, and Firebase on the back-end to store and apply billing status, plan limits and entitlement information so the correct Clubs features are available.
App store providers process subscription payments under their own terms and privacy policies. KorfScore does not store your full payment card details.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, KorfScore may store a device notification token, platform, notification setting, app version and similar technical details so notifications can be delivered. Clubs may use notifications to tell owners and managers when someone asks to join their club using an invite code or link. You can control notifications through your device settings.
KorfScore Live And Match Reports
KorfScore Live lets users publish live match updates for supporters and other viewers. Match reports let users save and review a post-game summary of match events. Information published through these features may be visible to anyone with the relevant live match code, report code or link.
Please avoid entering sensitive personal information into team names, player names, commentary or match notes. If a match report or live match needs to be amended or removed, please use the support page.
Firebase And Firestore
We use Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, to manage accounts and store and deliver app data. Firebase Authentication handles sign-in and stores the email address linked to your account. Cloud Firestore stores club data, membership data, event data, notification-related data, billing status, match data, KorfScore Live data and match reports, and keeps that information available across devices. Google may process technical information such as device, log and service usage data as part of providing Firebase services.
On-Device Storage
KorfScore stores some information locally on your device so the app can work, remember your preferences, support offline use and improve performance. Local device data may include saved rosters, player names, shirt numbers, match setup data, match history, match events, scores, timers, app preferences and signed-in user profile details saved for the account on that device.
Local data may also include cached club, team, event, RSVP, squad, billing and membership data, notification preferences, local device identifiers, Firebase Cloud Messaging token references, pending sync operations and temporary data needed to complete club updates.
Deleting the app may remove local device data, but it may not delete cloud data that has already synced to Firebase, KorfScore Live, match reports, Clubs or account services. If you want cloud or account data reviewed or removed, use account deletion where available or contact us through the support page.
Advertising
KorfScore may use Google AdMob or other Google advertising services to show adverts in the app. Advertising providers may collect or receive device identifiers, approximate location, ad interaction data and similar technical information to deliver adverts, measure performance, prevent fraud and, where permitted, personalise advertising.
You can manage personalised advertising choices through your device settings and Google's advertising controls. If you opt out of personalised ads, you may still see adverts, but they may be less relevant.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and manage your account and authenticate your sign-in;
- provide match scoring, live updates and match report features;
- create and manage club memberships, squads, events, attendance, invites, roles and related Clubs features;
- manage Club Plus status, plan limits and subscription entitlements;
- send notifications you have enabled, including club join request notifications for owners and managers;
- store, retrieve and display club, live match and report data;
- maintain, troubleshoot and improve KorfScore;
- respond to support requests;
- show and measure advertising where applicable; and
- protect the security and reliability of our services.
Sharing Information
We do not sell the match data you enter into KorfScore. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the app and website, including Google services used for hosting, storage, analytics, crash diagnostics, Firebase/Firestore and advertising. We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms or to protect the rights, safety and security of KorfScore, users or others.
Authorised KorfScore administrators may access account, club, membership, billing status, live match and report data where needed for support, moderation, safety, troubleshooting, service operation or security. Admin access is intended to be limited to what is needed for those purposes.
Lawful Bases
Where data protection law requires a lawful basis, we usually process information because it is needed to provide KorfScore and Clubs to you, because we have a legitimate interest in operating, supporting, securing and improving the service, because you have given consent where consent is required, or because we need to meet a legal obligation.
Retention
Match data, KorfScore Live data, match reports, club data, event data, billing status and notification-related data may be retained for as long as needed to provide the relevant app features, maintain records requested by users, support troubleshooting and meet legitimate operational or legal needs. We may delete or anonymise information when it is no longer required.
Your Choices
You can choose what match information you enter into KorfScore. You can also use device settings to manage advertising identifiers, tracking permissions, notifications and app permissions. Requests to correct or remove live match data, match reports or support correspondence should be sent through the support page.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing. To make a request, use the support page.
Account Deletion
You can delete your KorfScore account from within the app where that option is available. If you need help, you can also contact us through the support page.
When an account is deleted, KorfScore deletes or disables the Firebase Authentication account for that user and removes the locally stored KorfScore profile for that signed-in account from the device. We will also attempt to remove or anonymise personal data associated with the account where appropriate, including profile information, club membership records, notification device registrations and account-linked records.
Some information may remain where it is necessary to keep it. This may include club records owned or managed by other club members; match data, live match feeds or match reports created for a club or shared with others; billing, subscription, transaction, entitlement or fraud-prevention records needed for operational, legal, accounting or App Store validation purposes; audit, security, support or troubleshooting records; and records needed to protect the service, enforce our terms, resolve disputes or comply with legal obligations.
If you own a club, account deletion may require transferring ownership or deleting the club before your account can be fully removed.
Children
KorfScore is designed for use by clubs, coaches, players and supporters. Where children or junior teams are involved, clubs, coaches and guardians should make sure they have the appropriate permission before entering or publishing names, numbers or match information.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information handled by KorfScore. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so please take care when choosing what information to publish through live matches or reports.
Third-Party Services
KorfScore may link to or rely on third-party services, including Google Firebase, Google AdMob, StoreKit and app store providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. These providers may process data in other countries, subject to their own safeguards and privacy terms. We encourage you to review their privacy information if you want more detail about how they process data.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of KorfScore after an update means the revised policy applies.
